Lawn Maintenance Crew Member
(Full Time Position)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Maintain the lawn to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations
Perform maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins and leaf raking
Edging all hardscapes for a crisp finish to look
Work with hand tools and machinery such as zero-turn mowers, weed whips, and edger’s
Service all mowing equipment and machinery
Maintain a clean lawn by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds
Keep work vehicles and equipment clean and organized
Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations

Qualifications or Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Current driver’s license in good standing
Ability to work in a team environment and independently
Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more on a daily basis
One year experience as a lawn crew member preferred

Job Description:

Tracking completed work

Qualifications

  • Clean criminal background
  • State driver’s license is a must with a clean driving record
  • 2+ years managing a work crew
  • 2+ years landscaping/lawn care experience
  • 2+ years’ experience driving plows and trailers

Pay Rate: Weekly salary of $640

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Fertilizing and spraying lawn operating a Ride-on Spreader/Sprayer
Maintaining customer relations by servicing and education the client on lawn and landscaping maintenance
Diagnosing and addressing lawn diseases, insect damage and any other abnormalities with a lawn
Measuring and quantifying the mix of products for fertilizers and pesticides
Maintaining an organized and clean truck and any other equipment you are operating
Maintain paperwork as required by the Ohio Department of Agriculture
Work as directed in the off season

Lawn Irrigation Technician

Irrigation Technician

Northwest Lawn & Landscape, a family focused and owned company is looking for the right candidate to fill an Irrigation Technician position


Duties & Responsibilities:

Turns irrigation systems on and off as designated
Repairs & replaces hoses, pipes, and numerous types of sprinkler heads & fixtures
Operates timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers
Replaces or repairs irrigation valves
Installs or repairs irrigation lines
May assist in various maintenance activites as required
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety & environmental policies
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED certificate
Some post-secondary training in irrigation or landscaping is preferred but not necessary
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
Ability to follow verbal & written instructions

Working Conditions & Physical Effort:

Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required objects over 50 pounds
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions
